A community group for Wickham village, formed in 1994.

GLOW — Great Lifestyle of Wickham — is a group of like-minded individuals living, working and playing in and around Wickham village. What began in 1994 has grown into a peak body representing residents, working alongside government agencies, businesses and community organisations.

GLOW is working positively with the planned renewal of the Wickham village and the nearby CBD, supporting modern development while keeping the character of the 1800s village, and is committed to a comfortable community with walkable access around the second largest city in NSW.

There is a social side too: a coffee catch-up every Wednesday morning at the Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club, Christmas in July, the Wickham Spring Clean, Light Up Wickham through December, and a Christmas Eve dinner. Members are notified of each event by email.
